Last night was Earth Hour in Toronto, and I thought it was cool that the electricity use went down to 15%.
At 8:30 I was meeting up with Ian and his friends on Bloor. We went to get Korean food, but before that we stopped by his (and Richard's) house. I was going up the stairs wearing heels and using my cell phone to see because they would not use ANY electricity. I thought it was kind of funny how seriously they were taking it -- Ian was using a lighter, and they even turned off the fridge I think.
I'm watching Britney Spears: For the Record right now. She's playing an iPhone game in between takes of the Circus video; it's pretty funny, but the way that they're shooting the thing makes it seem like she's crazy or something. Or maybe she just looks crazy in the interview.

I want to feel calm and at ease. Like someone who lives in Half Moon Bay, California, and makes hummus from scratch. Instead, I feel like I'm on a contestant on some awful supermarket game show where I've got sixty seconds to hurl my shopping cart down the aisles, piling it with as much as possible before the buzzer goes off.

"Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow."
